CMC Tylo - Powder PME 55g

Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) E 466 is a modified plant cellulose. CMC is mainly used as a thickening agent in flower paste recipes and can also be used in pastillage work.

Directions for use: 2 teaspoons of Tylo powder to 500 grams of fondant. Knead the powder well and let it rest in an airtight package for at least two hours. After that, it is still easy to knead and shape perfectly. After modeling it hardens. The resulting fondant mixture is also called modeling paste.

Tip: You can also make edible glue yourself by mixing some Tylo powder with water. However, the substance must rest for at least 1 hour before you can use it. The homemade glue has a shorter shelf life.
